Erosion at Jubilee Lake Nature Reserve

Erosion at Jubilee Lake Nature Reserve
The Town Council has recently received a report from its environmental consultants into the causes of erosion to the banks at Jubilee Lake. The Council has been monitoring this erosion but is concerned that if left unchecked some sections of footpath will be lost and the inlet channel that feeds the Lake from the Sorrel Close side will become so deep as to become a danger to the public. On Saturday 14th January John MacIndoe, Grounds Team Leader, conducted a tour of the site so that Councillors could check on the extent of this erosion and envisage the works being proposed to rectify the problems. The Council hope to be able to tender the works later in the year.
