The Town Clerk, who is the Responsible Financial Officer (RFO), ensures that the Council as a whole conducts its business properly and provides independent, objective and professional advice and support to the 16 Councillors. From 1st August 2020 the position of Town Clerk is vacant.
The role of Town Clerk is split between two members of staff:
