We hope everyone enjoyed the coronation of King Charles III on Saturday 6th May 2023 and the many events that took place over this special weekend. We were blessed with lovely sunshine on Sunday 7th May 2023 and hope residents who either held their Big Lunch on their street, or were able to use one of our parks to bring friends and family together had a great time. Below shows what the Council arranged in celebration of this special occasion.

CORONATION CRY

At 9.30am on Saturday 6th May 2023, Owen Collier, Town Crier stood by the Town Hall and performed the special commemorative cry written following a competition among town criers, copy shown, to celebrate King Charles III coronation. Check out our facebook to see a video of his cry.
