Gift A Tree

The Town Council in partnership with RWB Environmental Trust has committed to plant 2000 trees during the 2022 / 2023 season as part of the late Queens Green Canopy project.

Plans have been drawn up to introduce more trees in six of the town’s parks; Showfield, New Road, Old Court, Otter Way, Poetsfield, Jacqui Woolford Memorial. Not only will this enhance the look of these parks and, in time, provide much needed height and shade, but it also forms part of the town’s contribution to reducing climate change.

LATEST NEWS: Old Court no availability.

Gifting A Tree

We are now inviting residents and businesses in Royal Wootton Bassett to gift 100 larger trees to be planted in those parks. These will be the key “structural” trees and provide a lasting legacy.

The gift of these trees can represent a business / organisation, be dedicate to a loved one or be a family’s contribution to improving our environment and reducing climate change.

Each will be recorded in a dedication book held in the Town Council Office and will show the resident / organisation’s name, any message of dedication, the type of tree and its specific location in the park of their choice. Please note choice of trees / location is on a first come first served basis.

For more information on how to Gift A Tree please see Application Form below, or contact the Town Council.

All trees will be added to the interactive QGC map to become part of the nationwide network of trees planted in honour of our late Queen.
