Grant aid awarded…
At a meeting of the Revenue and Resources Committee held on Thursday 29th September 2022 members were pleased to award grant funding to Wiltshire Citizens Advice.
Wiltshire Citizens Advice were awarded £500 in grant aid out of the £1000 requested. They are an independent charity who are committed to helping people successfully deal with life’s problems.
In 2021-2022 the charity supported 14,192 clients with 42,341 issues, answered 12,000 emails, double the response from the previous year and have answered 20,000 telephone calls. Demand for the service continues to grow particularly with the cost of living crisis.
The grant will be used for resources to increase their advice service.
