Planning Committee response to David Wilson Homes Southern development proposal for 410 homes in Royal Wootton Bassett
At the Planning Committee Meeting held on Thursday 1st August 2024, the Planning Application PL/2023/02129 was discussed by Councillors.

This application is for up to 410 dwellings, land for a nursery school, public open space, landscaping and associated infrastructure at Land to the South of A3102 and East of Royal Wootton Bassett. The developer and landowners had amended their plans and supplied additional information, in response to the objections and comments raised from their initial submission plans to Wiltshire Council back in March 2023.

The Committee had considered the planning application at a previous meeting held on Thursday 1st June 2023, whereupon it was agreed that a commissioned report from planning consultants DLP Planning and objections be sent to Wiltshire Council for the case officer’s consideration.

At the meeting on Thursday 1st August 2024 the Committee resolved to continue to object to proposed plans as the revised application had not answered the previously submitted objections.

The consultation period has now ended and it is for Wiltshire Council as the planning authority to decide whether to grant or refuse permission for the proposed development.
