Important Information:

Upcoming highway improvement works are being undertaken by Dave Lucey on behalf of Lidl. The works will involve major changes to the highway along the B4042 Brinkworth Road. An additional lane into site will be constructed and this will involve utility line diversions, a new footway and both the existing bus stop and pedestrian crossing being relocated into the new footway. New street lighting columns, a pedestrian crossing island and lining will also be undertaken.

A start date of Monday 24^th March has been agreed with a completion date of Friday 1^st August. To complete these works two-way temporary traffic lights will be in use with an operative controlling them from 7am – 7pm. Wiltshire Council Highways have looked at other traffic management methods such as a one-way system to keep traffic flowing, however the distance was far too great and inconvenient to the highway user. The carriageway width is also not enough to allow two-way traffic to flow unimpeded, so temporary traffic lights are the sensible and safest option for operative and highway user safety.
