At the Guild of Mace-bearers, Annual Guild Conference held on the 11th March 2022 in Bideford ,Devon .

Owen Collier Sword – bearer of Royal Wootton Bassett & Alan Spencer former Mace-bearer of Southhampton & Portsmouth have been awarded Life Appointments of “Master of the Guild of Mace-bearers ”

Recommendation for the appointment of Master is by a majority vote of the Guild Council and ratified by a vote at the Annual General Meeting of the Guild

Owen having been on the Guild Council for many years held the position of (Bursar) Membership Secretary & Treasurer for 11 years and is a Former Prime Warden and has been a member for 20 years

Alan Spencer having served on the Guild Council for many years having held the position of Guild Editor of “The Mace-Bearer Magazine ” is also Former Prime Warden and currently holds the Office of Guild Bursar.
