Vale View Gardens
Vale View Gardens
A local creative agency; based in the town and run by Edward White, was looking for a community garden to film a social media advert for their client, a garden tool company based in Swindon.
The core volunteer team duly assembled; with Lynn and Paul tending to the raised beds and Martin operating the power tiller; pictures below. The filming was completed successfully in one morning and the advert will be shown mid-summer on You Tube and other platforms.
By way of thanks, Webb Garden Power donated a mower to the volunteers, dedicated for use in Vale View Gardens. The newly laid turf has taken well, and the first cut has taken place.
Within the Gardens there are re-purposed plastic milk bottles; filled with water which can be used by anyone to water the plants during the hot weather.
Vale View Gardens Steward; Andy Carr, welcomes all ideas for the evolution of the Gardens into phase 2; this is a community space open for all to enjoy.
If you are interested in volunteering with the project please contact the Town Council on 01793 850 222, via email on enquiries@royalwoottonbassett.gov.uk or come along to our office.
