On Saturday 1st November 2025, the Mayor, Cllr Steve Bucknell, officially unveiled the stunning new mural at Borough Fields – a piece of art designed by local student Emma Beet and brought to life by artist Marilyn Trew, with the help of students from Royal Wootton Bassett Academy. The mural celebrates community, environment and youth.

The unveiling ceremony was attended by many of the Town’s residents, Town Councillors and students from the Academy.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this project possible: PCSO Kelly Hillier, Wiltshire Police, RWBA (Ascend Learning Trust), Marilyn Trew, Swindon Lions, The Five Bells and of course the volunteers who helped to bring this mural to life.
