Remembrance Services 2025
A Remembrance Sunday parade and open-air service took place on Sunday 9th November 2025 around the War Memorial on the High Street in Royal Wootton Bassett. We gathered to remember the fallen, to pay our respects and gratitude to those who lost their lives in World War I, World War II and other conflicts.
The parade was well attended with over 200 people marching down the High Street to the War Memorial. The service was given by the Royal British Legion (RBL) Royal Wootton Bassett Branch, along with Reverend Canon Jane Curtis; from St Bartholomew & All Saint Church.
On Tuesday 11th November 2025, Royal Wootton Bassett Town Council (Councillors & Staff), the Royal Wootton Bassett branch of RBL and residents gathered to hold an act of remembrance on Armistice Day. A short service was held by the War Memorial with a two-minute silence held at 11am.
Royal Wootton Bassett Town Council are incredibly grateful to all who were involved in organising and making the above events possible. We thank everyone who attended to show their respect and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice and gave their lives for us, their country, and for our freedom.
All wreaths laid at the War Memorial have been moved to the Garden of Remembrance at Downs View Cemetery.
