Jacqui Woolford Memorial Park is an open public space which was donated to the town by the Woolford family in memory of their daughter who tragically passed away at a young age. The area has been landscaped by the Town Council Grounds Team for visitors to enjoy whilst also considering the natural environment and the planting to benefit the wildlife. At the far end of the park, separated by a kissing gate, is a Nature Reserve. The Town Council are currently working with a Wildlife Area Management Plan to ensure this area, remains enriched with wildlife, with as little input as possible. To aid in this endeavour a man-made pond has been constructed to attract a variety of insects.
