Food Waste Anaerobic Digestion Facility – Public Consultation
Eco Sustainable Solution (Eco) have informed the Town Council that they are in the process of submitting a planning application for a new food waste anaerobic digestion facility at Park Grounds, Brinkworth Road, Royal Wootton Bassett. As part of the process they are hosting a public consultation event for residents and interested parties to learn more about the proposed project and listen to views expressed.
They are a family-owned organics recycling business based in Dorset and since 1995 Eco has recycled over 250,000 tonnes annually, transforming waste into renewable energy and sustainable products. Eco are seeking planning consent to process 100,000 tonnes per year, comprising approximately 75,000 tonnes of food waste and 25,00o tonnes of liquids, to produce renewable biomethane and organic fertiliser. Further details can be found on Eco Callow Hill AD Project Website and additional handouts will be available at the event.
