Midge Hall Farm Development
Planning Committee response to Midge Hall Farm Development
Midge Hall Farm is a significant development proposal of 425 homes, a local centre, a primary school, employment land, public open spaces with access from Swindon Road and Hook Road being promoted by Catesby Estates, who have submitted to Wiltshire Council an application PL/2025/02340 for outline planning permission.
A strategic site allocated in the emerging Wiltshire Local Plan, situated in the parish boundary of Lydiard Tregoze, the Planning Committee met on Thursday 24th April 2025 to discuss this application and its potential impact on our town’s local roads, school places, access to GP’s and dentist services, flooding in the area, plus the challenges faced in the delivery of the associated infrastructure of electricity, water supply, and sewage and more to this site.
Representatives from Catesby Estates attended the meeting, giving Councillors the opportunity to raise concerns and to have challenging questions answered. The Committee agreed to object and submit comments, can be found on Wiltshire Council’s planning portal site.
Residents and interested parties are welcome to visit the Town Council offices to access the online plans via information on the reception display boards. Please office opening times in footer below.
