At the Full Council Meeting on 12th December 2024, it was approved to use the Town Council’s carpet bed for the Rotary Club’s 50th Anniversary celebrations.

Carpet bedding has been fashionable since Victorian times and uses densely planted flowers to create intricate patterns like a woven carpet. The Town Council’s carpet bed is located on the A3102 opposite the Marks & Spencer/BP garage and in previous years designs have included the King’s Coronation and the 80-year D-Day commemoration.

The Town Council are pleased to be honouring the Rotary Club of Royal Wootton Bassett & District’s 50th Anniversary with a carpet bed display, photos below.
