At the Full Council meeting on 18th July 2024 the Town Council approved to extend the Lease with Wiltshire Council of Sparrow Lane. A working group of three Councillors; Cllr Carole Tan, Cllr Eve Silvester, and Cllr Steve Bucknell, was created and they met with residents and businesses in February to discuss ideas and hear suggestions for the area.

The group came up with various ideas and suggestions but felt the first step in achieving these was to create a ‘blank canvas’ so the ideas could be developed. Therefore, the Grounds Team will start removing the hedges, which have become overgrown and woody in places, on Tuesday 4th March 2025; keeping the path clear with new planting being planned for the perimeter of the area.
